Even tho this hike was only 50 miles, it was the most difficult & rewarding hike I’ve ever done. Hiking up to the base camp @ 17.7k feet is NO JOKE. Having half the oxygen your body needs makes everything that much more difficult.

Doing the Mount Everest Base Camp trek alone was an incredible experience, to say the least. The Himalayas are the biggest mountains in the world & they did not disappoint. All the local sherpas were extremely helpful & kind. So were all the random people I met along the way from so many different countries. Since I was alone, I made a point to befriend everyone that spoke English. Meeting randos on the same journey as you, and hearing their unique stories is what it is all about.
